North Rim is open May 15th to October 15 usually.
Most definitely, especially with a party that size. Be sure to make a reservation.
Only cabins and you can only book 6 months in advance.
I personally prefer the North Rim, mostly because there's less people there and the location is more remote. Also the landscape on both sides is a bit different. Both are definitely worth seeing.
I'm sure you can. Just Google it. I would do the same. Have fun
Yes
There is a 7/24 gas station inside the park near the General Store.
Yes it's available
Except for support animals pets are not allowed in the National Parks.
I love seeing the Grand canyon. I was disappointed that we could only get in and out one way. I do understand. I can not walk distances so I was unable to enjoy the whole view this time. The last time I went we were able to drive and stop at different peaks instead of walking the rim. Will be visiting again once all areas are open again.
My fiance and I went here with my parents from Indiana and they seem to have a great time! You never can go wrong bringing your family to the Grand canyon! The visitor center was closed because of the "pandemic"... But it was a good time nonetheless. There are usually friendly little squirrels running around however when we went the squirrels were gone. It may have been because of the heat.
Really missed all the stores being open but the Rangers were very very friendly and helpful
Had a lovely time with my family. We are traveling across the country so it was just an hour long pit stop. If you find the opportunity to visit the Grand Canyon I highly suggest it. Paintings and photos can never do the justice of seeing the real thing. I'll go ahead and share a few that I got anyways. Safe travels to everyone!
This place took my breath away. There are no words on how this has made me rethink life and appreciate the wonders of the world. Highly recommend visiting the Grand Canyon.
I absolutely enjoyed our day at the Grand Canyon. This was only our 2nd national park since Covid-19. If you are going inside the visitor center, the restrooms, or any other indoor facilities, you are required to wear a mask. Today when we visited, it was supposed to reach 109 °F, so it was a little too hot for it on the trail. My husband and I got a good laugh at the people who had on masks and were running from people who didn't only to go in dangerous areas on unmarked trails to take the perfect pictures for social media. The mask won't do you any good if you don't survive the fall 🤦🏽♀️. Other than that, great day.
Amazing gorgeous views a great place to allow your mind to rest and enjoy the beauty and wild life.
Great area with a lot of information. Go here for viewing the stars and make your way to Mather Point. I could not believe what I saw.
It was drive through only (covid-19) but fast & friendly.
Go during the pandemic before all the crowds return. We felt like we had this beauty to ourselves. The Grand Canyon stole a piece of my heart.
Oh my gosh! The best trip that we took this summer. So much to do. 5 hours was NOT enough time to do/see everything!
This was our first stop. We really enjoyed our visit to the Grand Canyon. Due to COVID-19 the information center building was close but there were maps available and plenty of signs all around with helpful info. Free shuttles were not operating. No tours allowed yet.. only private vehicle. Clean restrooms. Overall, this place was well maintained. Make sure you bring water.
Breathtaking! The weather was clear and warm, not too hot. The crowd was moderate. You can rent bikes, the bathroom wasn't too bad, but could use a little touch up The views are spectacular, God is awesome come see his work!!
I appreciate the effort of the part trying to stay open for the public during this pandemic however the government ran stores were closed and the privately run stores were open and I find that a bit confusing at best. We could not visit the museum or the actual visitors sent her and several other places that were closed due to covid19. But as long as we wore a mask we were invited into the privately ran establishments. The park did not mind collecting our $30 entrance fee but other than that many things were closed.
I 5 starred just for the canyon. The visitor center its' self was closed due to the pandemic. But most word mask and those that didn't were cool. Everyone worried and did themselves. We met some nice folks!!!!
The Grand Canyon remains the best attraction in America. The Visitor Center still has bikes to rent to explore the viewing areas, plenty of parking, and the gift shop is open everything else at the Center was closed. The Village was open, the hotels and cabins are taking reservations and the food court was great! All reasonable precautions are being taken and it was amazing to go when so few people are there!
Visited the Grand Canyon for the first time and it was an absolutely breathtaking experience. The views are gorgeous. The park is very well kept, which makes the experience much better, as there were many beautiful areas to take pictures and practice social distancing. I arrived at 9am and there were not many people. However, more people started arriving around 10:30am. I would encourage others to visit the parks website for updates and follow their recommendations. Buy your entrance tickets online, as you will not be able to purchase them at the entrance booth at this time. Another thing that I noticed is that a lot of people were not wearing face coverings, which is why I decided to leave the park around 10:30am, as it was getting busier. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my time and nature’s endless beauty.
We went up earlier in the day and crowds were minimal. Most people were wearing masks and being very respectful with social distancing but, like everywhere else, you had the few people and some families that didn't wear masks. It was easy to avoid these people as the crowds were small.
Love the place, it's so giant that you can keep social distance beside not everyone was wearing a mask like I expected.
Awesome place to go visit often in AZ... a must see in Arizona for sure great back drop for pics
